Day one…part two…

Christ fed the multitudes with five loaves and two fish… Our souls were fed today when we visited Tabgha, the site of this miracle, and Capernaum, where Simon-Peter lived as well as Christ for perhaps three years of His time on earth. We then enjoyed a fish lunch in Tiberias to feed our bodies. the first few pictures are of Tabgha, the site of the Church of the Multiplication of the loaves and fish. Our first day

Although there is no record in the Gospels of Jesus visiting Tiberias, we know that He must have passed through it due to it’s proximity to Capernaum and the fact that it is the oldest continually inhabited city in the Galilee area, being in existence since the time Herod Antipas built it about 2000 years ago. Our first day began with a light breakfast and bus ride to the Sea of Galilee.
