Burgers and fries “Vegas style”
Took a break from typical Vegas and visited off-strip gem Bacci Burgers for their innovative Asian themed burgers. From the ice-cold Nigori sake…

To the oxtail chili cheese fries…spicy goodness….

…the most excellent Bahn mi Burger…

Medium rare Angus burger with pork pate, fried egg and pickled carrot slaw.served with more house pickled veggies. And gilding the lily with truffle fries…

Our amusing, former musician host completed the experience with his wit and abilities. So many off the strip gems here! Stay tuned for Hobak Korean Bbq in my next post!

Leaving Arizona 😦 and on to Nevada on the last leg of our cross country road trip. Lots of great driving roads and scenery.

The up-and-coming Brooklands area has a few tricks up its sleeves. Busboys and Poets, Brookland Pint, & pizza, Steel Plate and Smith Public Trust. Had the occasion to enjoy dinner at Smith Public Trust this evening, and enjoy we did!

Just like that picture, the chef is winking at us with his eclectic, adventuresome menu. The restaurant’s decor is also wink and nod “spare” but homey.

We sampled the Pork Belly Bahn MI, the Public Burger, and the Austin Texas Street tacos and we were not disappointed by anything. Prices are reasonable and Happy Hour makes an early dinner worthwhile here.

A return trip is warranted. Or 2, or 3…….

Northern Michigan’s Finest Retro Burger
Flat top grilled soft bun. Grilled Ground beef pattie. American cheese. Dill pickle slices. Lettuce and tomato. You add your own condiments…if you think it isn’t ABSOLUTELY PERFECT the way it is….drip, drip, drip….wipe your mouth off and have one of the hand-cut fries.

A 3 hour car ride north of Detroit, and another world away in northern Michigan. Come visit Lewiston, Michigan for the Talley’s burger of your dreams!
