Half day fishing trip on the Sea of Cortez was a blast, even if we did have to rise at an ungodly hour. We witnessed an awesome sunrise as we left the Marina in San Jose del Cabo. Saw some whales spouting about 2 miles offshore. Then, started the fishing with mackerel coming first. A couple 20 lb. Dorado (mahi mahi)got hooked next. An evening cruise to the “end of the earth” starts in the marina of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Our 2 deck catamaran is filled with eager cruisers all hoping for the magical sunset at El Arco. As we approach the rock formations before the main attraction we can see the sea lions sun bathing in day’s last light. Trying to capture all the beauty here is difficult. Ok. Here’s my disclaimer…I AM DEATHLY AFRAID OF HEIGHTS…..But, I am on a once in a lifetime vacation with my husband of 30 years and it is time to conquer my fears! So, we picked the big Kahuna of zip lining tours….7 lines, over 2 miles and quite the hike up. First thing we do after a ride halfway up the hill in a really nice van is cross over the bridge you see in the second picture below. That bridge crossing almost ended the tour for me.
