Did a quick birthday weekend getaway to Savannah, GA with my baby girl. Wonderful southern city with tons of history. Just visiting all the squares of the Historic District could keep you busy for a few days, but this was a whirlwind weekend…so we did the best we could! The majestic live oaks with their Spanish Moss filled branches line the streets of Savannah.
The monuments adorning the historic squares, Oglethorpe, Forsyth,Chatham,Monterey,Madison,Telfair, Pulaski tell the story of Savannahs’ antebellum past…
Even city hall is special here.
We dined at a restored southern mansion called The Olde Pink House..
We had a fantastic brunch at 700 Drayton at the Mansion across from Forsythe Park.
And for giggles we stopped by Paula Deens the Lady and Sons Restaurant and the diner, Debi’s, where Jenny worked in the movie Forrest Gump.
A great spa pedicure at Sweet Water Spa and some fun shopping at the City Market rounded out our stay! Can’t wait to return!
