Christ fed the multitudes with five loaves and two fish… Our souls were fed today when we visited Tabgha, the site of this miracle, and Capernaum, where Simon-Peter lived as well as Christ for perhaps three years of His time on earth. We then enjoyed a fish lunch in Tiberias to feed our bodies.
the first few pictures are of Tabgha, the site of the Church of the Multiplication of the loaves and fish. Although we have been taught that Christ fed 5000 that day, the actual number is probably closer to 15,000 when women and children are included. The lower pictures are of the area of Capernaum where Peter had a home that Christ visited many times. The Catholic church of the Primacy of St. Peter there commemorates Peter’s return to favor in Christ’s eyes after his denial ( John 21:1-17).
